PFD’s required for each person on board (recommend personal equipment over club equipment).
FYC strongly recommends all members wear a PFD whenever there is a risk of entering the water unintentionally.

3. Review Crew Overboard procedures and hypothermia dangers.
4. Rights-of-way, channel buoys/markers, regulatory markers.
5. Use of compass in fog (determine bearing and fix before fog rolls in).
6. Winch safety: fingers (6 inches away), over-rides, winch handles.
7. Fending Off Safely: boat hook in chest; crushed feet and limbs.
8. Distress & Sound Signals (personal flares, waving arms, whistles, fog sound signals).
9. Weather & Small Craft Warnings (C22 is not to be taken out when wind exceeds 20 knots per hour)
